“Before this program I knew I could be a better version of myself — I just didn’t know how to get there. I was so tired and felt stuck, with this sense of impending doom. And when I dieted there was always the feeling like the other shoe may drop at any moment.
This is so different. I’m not hungry all the time — or irritable. And those voices that question, judge and doubt are gone. I’m not having to count how much of this or account for every little thing I eat. Or feeling bad because I’ve gone over a certain amount of calories or points. I don’t have to think about it. So for the first time I’m at this weight without all that—without having to run every day and driving myself crazy.
What makes me certain I can continue this forever is that it is not hard—it’s not a big deal. And my ability to recover so quickly if I veer off course. Now I’m more in tune and listening to myself. It feels like it’s really me. And it feels good.”
So many things in my life have changed since starting this program. Ok, so I’ve lost about 140 lbs. which is crazy. But beyond that, I feel lighter, more settled, less worried about my weight, but also things in general.
I feel like I’m finally in a good place — with my job, food, where I live, and friends. I feel content. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there. My mood is better— I have way less ups and downs. What’s cool is that there’s less stress with food— figuring out food and what I’m eating. I just don’t have to think about it as much. And that makes life way easier. I finally feel comfortable where I’m at.
I used to feel like food controlled me. It controlled my life. It was like I as I was gorging myself I’d be thinking about my next meal. And when I dieted in the past I wasn’t eating right. I was literally starving my body.
Now I feel like I’m in control. I don’t have the desire for all that stuff I used to eat. This time around it was like flipping a switch. I didn’t realize what a brain fog I was in. I wasn’t clear headed a lot of the time. Now I’m remembering so much more and I’m more focused.
When I go to bed at night now I’m tired and I fall asleep right away. And I’m waking up at 6am without my alarm—and I’m ready to get up and start my day.
And to top it off, my joint pain is gone. Thank you, Mandy, you have changed my life!
"I’ve stayed pretty straight on the program since finishing a year ago. The biggest thing? My inflammation–my joint pain–It’s gone. I’ve been able to integrate exercise with no pain.

And it hasn’t been hard either. And the foods I got off of I don’t miss. People ask me what I’ve done and I tell them about the program. This has created such a huge, huge change. Even though it’s not really a big deal. It’s now just how I eat. It’s the path I’m on.”

“I just had to call you—I’m so excited! I just got my numbers back from the doctor—since starting the program this past spring:
my total cholesterol’s gone down from 253 to 201
my HDL (“good cholesterol”) has gone up from 62 to 80
triglycerides have gone down from 119 to 94
my LDL (“bad cholesterol”) has gone way down from 150 to 94!

It (food and my weight) has been a life long struggle for me. I grew up with food insecurities which grew into anxiety and insecurity and now…tada! I am no longer on 2 medicines for anxiety. I’m also off the cholesterol meds I had been taking because I no longer need them. My pants are baggy and I did have someone ask if I "eat". For what that's worth. I said "of course”. This has changed my life. I can’t thank you enough.
“One of my issues before starting the program was not having enough time to do the things I like to do. Like most other people, I work full time plus manage a home. Since working with you, (in addition to getting healthier) I have managed to find time to keep to a 5 days/week workout schedule at the gym, add Toastmasters to help me speak and work with people better and, I went from being a non-runner to training for a half marathon, which I am planning to do in the fall. I'm doing more than I ever have and, for the first time, I feel like I have some balance in my life. My hubby commented yesterday that he hasn't seen me so relaxed and happy in a long time. What I’m realizing is that I can get better. And it happens fast. That even at age 68 I can do something to improve myself. I always thought that this (joint pain etc) is just part of aging and that as you age it is harder. But now I know the body can still respond. This makes the prospect of aging so much better.

"Wanted to let you know I’ve dropped 40 lbs total and still going. I was happy being 32 lbs. lighter but it keeps dropping off naturally. I don’t notice, because I don’t weigh myself much…I just go by how clothes fit. I was at a networking thing Friday morning and people were commenting on how I’d lost more weight. I was like…really? For grins, I put on a pair of new pants that I bought 4 years ago. They are still in style and I thought what the heck…give it a try. They fit all right. I need to have them altered at the tailor.
